Chris Nybo Endorsed For Ward 5 Alderman

Chris Nybo may have only lived in Elmhurst for five years, but during that time he has enthusiastically lent his service as an Elmhurst fire and police commissioner and a member of the DuPage County Zoning Board of Appeals. With his knowledge of zoning laws, Nybo would address the building issues that accompany new construction in residential neighborhoods. He also has shown a commitment to working with seniors, people with disabilities and other who might have trouble finding affordable housing, which we hope he would continue to do as an alderman.

Peter DiCianni also has done a respectable amount of public service, but he lacks Nybo's healthy skepticism toward issues like expensive capital projects, the city's operating budget and Elmhurst's affordable housing stock.
