Your letter did more than just contribute A LITTLE to the fight against this building insanity. There are SO many people in town who are sick of all this mess and are demanding accountability. We made some progress 2 years ago with the elctions of good people like Moira Moriarty, Donna Lomnicki and Norm Leader to the Council and we need to keep that momentum going this year. I'm not just talking about the 5th Ward but in ALL Wards of Elmhurst.
I have it on good authority that Marcucci's cabal of Aldermen are very worried and have been going to some desperate measures to retain their seats. In fact it is more than just a little suspicious that the Mayor and his aldermen would go to such lengths to stay on a Council job that entails much headache and very little pay and thanks in return. (But that's a subject for another time)
With a little over 2 weeks before the election all I can say is KEEP TALKING to as many people as you can in ALL wards of Elmhurst. Every vote is vital and if enough people with common sense come out to the polls, we can see more positive changes in town. Remember, 2 years ago, if just 151 people had changed their vote from Marcucci to Paula Pezza, we would have had a new Mayor. Paula did that against a 12 year incumbant who had tons of business and local connections and a campaign budget that outspent Paula's by a ratio of about 5 to 1.
I'll keep checking your website. Talk to you later.
